Bar and bat mitzvah celebrations on Lake Union
A waterfront venue on the east shore of Lake Union that works for the kids and the grandparents at once. Up to 150 seated, up to 300 for a reception, with our own culinary team, a built-in bar, and the venue for the whole day.
The rental
The whole day is yours
A mitzvah is a full-day rental: up to ten hours in the building, ending by 11pm, with an earlier start by request. Your celebration can begin and end earlier if that suits your day.
The ready room opens when your rental starts – for getting ready, for a quiet moment with family, and for the costume change before the party.
The room
One room, three generations
Youth tables often clear after dinner to open up the dance floor, while the adults keep their seats. The floors are wood, so there is nothing to rent. Every floor plan is built around your guest counts, and we will talk you through the options.
When the grandparents want a break from the DJ, the covered patio is right through the glass doors, with a warm fireplace from fall through spring and the water in view all year. Everything is on one level, with no stairs to the ballroom or the restrooms.
Catering & bar
Food and drink
You work directly with our chef on a menu built around your family, favorites included. Scratch recipes make allergen-free, dietary-friendly and vegan options easy. There is a kids’ menu, and mocktails for the kids’ side of the room.
The bar is built in, with draft beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails for the adults, hosted or no-host. Bringing a cake from your favorite bakery? Outside cakes and desserts are welcome.
There is no food and beverage minimum.

A kosher caterer has worked in our space before, and pre-made kosher meals can be delivered for any guests who need them. Tell us what your family requires and we will talk through how it works for your celebration.

Bringing your own people
Plenty of families arrive with a DJ, a photographer or a planner they love, and that works – we give them the floor plan, load-in timing and access. If you are still looking, our trusted partners include DJs, photographers, bakers and glam teams.

Getting here
3229 Fairview Ave E, Seattle, WA 98102 – on the east shore of Lake Union, at the Tyee Yacht Club. Navigation apps list us under Tyee Yacht Club. There is a second one near the University District; you want the one on Fairview Ave E.
Roughly 12 minutes from downtown and 30 from the airport. We have limited tandem parking in our lot, free street parking and several paid lots nearby, and we work closely with Red Carpet Valet if you would like valet service.
The venue is on one level. No stairs are needed to enter the building or to reach any part of the ballroom, and our restrooms are accessible.

Come see it
Tours are by appointment, usually on weekdays around our events, and we can arrange other times. Tell us the date and the guest count and we will come back to you within two business days.
